"Calvin"

Calvin is available to a pet, performance or show home for $1800.  He is a sound, smart, avid retriever and a sponge when it comes to learning.  He would enjoy training and competing in performance venues, including hunt, obedience or agility.  He thrives on human attention and walks well on a leash, knows stand, sit, come, down, is crate and house trained, but has a strong affinity for shoes and toys left on the floor!  He loves to play with other dogs all day long, even well after his playmate is tired and napping, and he's just learning boundaries with dogs who may not appreciate his exuberance.  He would love an experienced dog owner (preferably with at least one adult home most of the day) with older kids or other dogs to play with him, as he could easily turn into a 'Marley' if left alone or outside all day.  He's a strong, nicely boned, well put-together young boy and could be a fun first show dog for someone looking to get into the sport.   He has been to handling class and has been shown in puppy class, and is a 'push button' dog in the ring-- always four-square and wagging his tail straight off the back.  He is missing an upper and lower premolar on the left side and is a PRA carrier.
